Corto del Mar Hotel

Regine Cadutput deserves a special thank you for taking such good care of us. She was friendly, professional, and always ready to help. We also enjoyed the tasty, well prepared breakfast. Corto del Mar Hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained, with a welcoming, relaxing feel. Its location was especially convenient, close to everything we needed. We had a very pleasant stay from 02.12.2025 to 05.12.2025 and would definitely recommend it to others. Tudor

The breakfast was included and pretty good, with eggs and pancakes made at a station. The rest of the dishes could use a way to stay warm, and the juice and coffee ran out often. Small annoyance, really. They also let us keep our room until our 1300 onward transport at no extra charge, which we appreciated. Wi-Fi was free and the shower had good pressure. I was booked in by my sea kayaking guide as a finale to a great trip, and the resort lived up to that. It’s elegant, friendly, and relaxing, with helpful staff. The architecture has an old Spanish colonial city feel, and the turquoise pool and tidy gardens are lovely. If you like spending a lot on a resort and being isolated from the Philippines in beautiful surroundings, this could suit you. There’s chess and an analog football game in the lobby.

We stayed in the Presidential Suite at Corto del Mar Hotel in Coron, and it was spacious and beautifully laid out. There were two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a bar, lounge, and dining area, plus a private balcony looking out to sea with a jacuzzi. It was a lovely place to relax or have people over. The pool area was clean and peaceful, and the location made it easy to get to everything Coron has to offer. Breakfast had plenty of variety and good quality choices. The staff were warm, professional, and helpful, always making us feel welcome and looked after. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone coming to Coron.

The arranged boat transfer nearly made us miss our departure. We had confirmed with reception that pickup at 6:30 AM was fine, but when we came down then, there was no shuttle and nobody seemed to know about the booking. They only started sorting it out at that point, delaying us by about 30 minutes and causing a lot of stress. We barely caught our boat. The room had stained, dirty looking sheets and pillowcases when we arrived. We worried about bed bugs or mold, and reception eventually replaced the bedding, but it shouldn’t have been like that to begin with. The room smelled musty, almost like old urine, and we saw a cockroach in the bathroom. It didn’t feel clean, and there seemed to be insects everywhere. Breakfast was a letdown as well, with limited choice and poor quality. A very poor stay at Corto del Mar, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
