Darayonan Lodge

Breakfast was good, and on our last day they made us sandwiches for the boat trip because we had to leave before breakfast. The staff did help when ants covered the table and our belongings on the second night, coming to clean and leaving us bug spray, but they never apologized for the trouble. At check-in we were put in the wrong room and had to ask to move. The shower in the new room didn’t work, so maintenance came. They asked if we needed hot water, eventually got it running, but the pressure was terrible and the hot water failed again later. Road noise was very loud. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were the best part, all helpful, cheerful, kind, and polite, which made the stay feel much friendlier. Breakfast was always nice, with very fresh fruit and plenty of coffee and tea. The place itself is beautiful and near town, but it wasn’t too loud in the evening even though my room was next to the road. The accommodation is comfortable and functional, and you get what you pay for. My only niggle was that the plug sockets needed replacing. It was clean and beautiful, and I really enjoyed my stay.

A little dated, but the rooms are well worth the price. The location is great, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We picked this place at the last minute and couldn’t have been happier. It’s cozy, cool, and the team was very professional. Our room was spotless, though a bit old and dark. For what we paid, it felt like we got more than our money’s worth. The outdoor area was really nice, and there are lots of little shops around, with the port very close by. I’d definitely recommend it.
