We booked through Agoda, but were told the place had stopped dealing with Agoda and couldn’t honor our booking. By then nothing else was available, so we had to pay 1.5 times the price we’d paid through Agoda and file a claim to get the money back. A few weeks later, we still haven’t received it. The mix-up wasted a few hours of our day, and the owner was quite rude to us.
