Divine Castle Travelers Inn

I politely asked if we could change rooms because the old yellow air conditioner was barely blowing cold air. The rude woman dismissed the problem, saying it had just been switched on and needed time, then threatened to charge 500 pesos a day if we moved. She didn’t even check whether the AC worked. She claimed we’d been given a free upgrade because the room had a small veranda, but we needed working air conditioning, not a veranda. We waited two hours, and the old unit still couldn’t do its job. Luckily, the person on the next shift came in, checked it happily, and helped us switch rooms. We stayed five days. That woman never greeted me or my companion when we passed, just made faces, and other staff didn’t greet us either. They seemed to hang out in the back laughing and gossiping instead of staying at the front desk. Maybe that discourteous woman should find another job. The internet also didn’t work in either of the two rooms we stayed in, so if you need a stable connection, you’d be better off somewhere else.

The staff were easily the best part, so helpful and hard to beat. The room was clean and tidy, with a decent amount of space, and the Wi-Fi worked well even downstairs in the basement. It’s set up a slope away from the main road, which keeps things fairly quiet. Towels and toiletries were provided. The air conditioner is noisy, though it didn’t bother me much. I’d definitely recommend it.

We had a lovely stay, thanks to the friendly staff and a great sea and mountain view. The price is really reasonable for Coron, and the spot is close to the restaurants while still being quiet. They also provide free drinking water. The bathroom smell was the one thing we didn’t like, but everything else was perfect. Thank you!

I was here for eight days, working with a bit of leisure mixed in, and the service went beyond what I expected. The staff were so warm and kind, easily a 10/5. To the owners of Divine Castle, please look after them. They’re your biggest asset, in my view.
