Guanna’s Place was my regular food stop on Malapascua, and everything I ate was excellent. Their breakfast müsli came in a huge, filling bowl with cornflakes, chocolate bites, nuts, banana and mango. I asked them to leave out the raisins, and they got it just right. The mango crepe was huge and tasty too, and went well with a cappuccino and brown sugar. At dinner, the lemon chicken was especially flavorful and cooked well. They also give you a 1-liter bottle of water with your meal, which is a nice extra. I went twice, but both times they were out of pizza and mango float, which was disappointing because I'd wanted to try them. The main road is right outside, so scooters can make it pretty noisy.

After a day diving or walking around the island, this is a relaxed place to get a filling meal. I ordered chicken cordon bleu and two beers. The portion was good, the chicken was cooked well, and the cheese and ham inside had plenty of flavor without feeling too heavy. Prices were reasonable, service was friendly, and the food came out fairly quickly. A good affordable choice if you're after something besides the usual beach food.

I spent about 12 days coming here and had the best chicken adobo I've tried so far. It's a small place with an authentic feel, serving Italian, Thai and Filipino food. Prices are very reasonable, and I liked the decor. The main motorbike street runs beside it, so it gets a little noisy and that takes away a bit from an otherwise great experience. Worth a visit.

The chicken adobo was my favorite, and the chicken curry and coconut shrimps were great too. Guanna’s Place Restaurant serves delicious Filipino dishes at affordable prices, with friendly, attentive service. I ate there four times during my stay and was never disappointed.

The food looked appetizing, but it really didn't taste good. Our order came quickly, so credit to the kitchen for that, but both meat dishes were tough and had no flavor. The mango shakes were bland too, and the caldereta was the biggest disappointment. Go next.
