Malapascua Legend Water Sports & Resort

I had a terrible stay, the worst place I've ever stayed. There were roaches in the room, including a nest by the bathroom door frame, and the old decorations were really dusty. I had to change rooms three times. The showers had no fresh water and the system was poor, while the AC was mounted so high I couldn't sleep properly.

Having a restaurant right in the hotel was handy, and it was also close to our dive center. The front desk staff were so friendly and gave us great service ✨.

We booked more nights than we ended up using. After one night, we didn't want to stay any longer, even though we'd already paid. I'd read the reviews beforehand and thought they might be exaggerating, but our stay was even worse than described. The room was a disaster, with a section of flooring missing and every surface looking as if there'd been a fight in there. Most of the staff seemed to be trainees who didn't know what was going on. Breakfast was included, so before ordering we checked with the waitress several times that everything on the menu was covered. She said it was, then brought the food and told us we had to pay for some of it. Worst hotel experience I've had in the Philippines, out of seven stays.

The shakes were good, and the portions were generous, though the food seemed expensive. The dishes didn't taste bad, but I expected more flavor and they were a bit overcooked. We had drinks on the beach before dinner. Service left a lot to be desired. The wait staff came across as almost rude. I'm torn about the place, I'd rate it 3.5 stars.
