Slam's Garden Dive Resort

The diving was a highlight: Slam's boats were large and well equipped, the gear was well maintained, and the divemasters were experienced and lovely. Jetjet and Jinky deserve a special mention. They served bananas, bread with pineapple jam, coffee, and tea during breaks. We could have had a seafood barbecue lunch on board, but skipped it because one of our friends is vegan. It’d be nice to have more lunch choices for vegan guests. We booked three Standard Premier rooms for six people in May 2026. Getting there was easy after a long day of travel and diving, since the resort is a 3-5 minute walk from the jetty. There are also good places to eat nearby, and the area was well lit, so we felt safe. The rooms were clean and spacious, with daily housekeeping, air conditioning, and a fan. We didn’t hear noise from the pool or outside. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided, and we could refill water at reception or ask there for the Wi-Fi code. The restaurant portions were huge, and I’d recommend the chicken noodles for breakfast. Santiago and Althea helped with our quotation and let us arrange our dive schedule flexibly. Even though we arrived at 6 a.m., we managed to do our refresher and house reef dives that day. At reception, Roxann and Buena were friendly, helpful, and funny. They sorted out our early pre-dive breakfast orders, the next day’s diving, and private transport back to Cebu.

The owner was so welcoming, and I really liked the garden and big pool. We had a comfortable, clean room and found the place great value for money. The beach is only a short walk away, too. The one problem was the toilet wouldn’t flush properly. There’s no air conditioning, as we knew before booking. I’d happily stay again.

I couldn’t stay at the resort this time, but I’m still giving them five stars. It was the first time Agoda let me cancel a reservation that wasn’t refundable. I wanted to change to an air-conditioned room, and when they told me the one I wanted was already booked, they still offered to refund me without any hassle. That was class. If this is how they treat guests, I can’t wait to dive with them.

Eight dives from Kimod to Monad to Sambawan Island with diver friends from Mindanao, October 8-11, made for an unforgettable trip. Each day we came back to a neat, quiet, cool room. The hospitality, food, and efficient work from both the resort and dive staff made me want to return soon. Cheers to Slam’s and Ocean Passion. Sea you soon!🥃
