Everyone was ready to carry our bags up the stairs since there’s no elevator, and the guard always opened the door with a greeting. He’d also call cabs and jeepneys for us at honest fares. When we wanted coffee after hours, they radioed someone and a hot cup arrived in under five minutes, with no attitude or reminders about rules. They were friendly and accommodating when we were unsure about breakfast too. The food was excellent and the service went above and beyond. The room was a little small and dated for the price, but the location was especially good.

The lobby was nice, and the staff there were very accommodating. Still, the air conditioner was so loud none of us could sleep, so bring earplugs. We were also unlucky with the Wi-Fi, which was under maintenance during our stay.

For my one night in Davao, I found the location ideal and the staff kind and helpful. I might book again if I visit. Breakfast was the one snag: they asked how I wanted my egg, I said scrambled, but that wasn’t what I got. Even so, I had a great stay.

Along CM Recto (Claveria), the hotel is close to banks, fast-food places, convenience stores, churches, city hall, and several drugstores. You can pay by cash or credit/debit card. The internet can be intermittent, though.
