My mom and I spent 3 days and 2 nights in a Twin Deluxe Room. It was a convenient, pleasant stay, with kind, polite staff. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, the beds comfortable with soft bedding, and the water heater worked perfectly. The location is handy: Roxas Night Market is within walking distance, and there are two 7-Eleven stores and several banks nearby for cash withdrawals. They also let us borrow a weighing scale for my mom’s two luggages, which was a lifesaver. There’s a printer too, at 10 pesos per page, useful for plane tickets or itineraries. There were a few issues. Street-facing windows aren’t soundproof, so passing cars were noisy for me, since I prefer quiet. The electrical sockets are outdated. My mom’s phone showed a “moisture/wet” warning when plugged in, so I suggest management replace them to avoid possible fire or electrical hazards. There’s no bidet, and the faulty faucet/shower switch button was loose, causing the faucet to turn off and switch back to the shower by itself. The linens had a small stain, though they weren’t dirty, and the bathroom mirror was a bit smudged. The TV was small and outdated, not a smart TV, and could use an upgrade.

This was my first time booking Hotel Uno, the day before I flew to Davao. I was traveling solo, and the room was big for me. The building and room are old, but it was quiet and safe.

We went in June 2025 and took a photo of the room rates. It’s on the 6th floor and seems old, but our room was fairly decent. We weren’t picky as long as we could sleep peacefully, and the AC worked and kept the room cold. Staff were well mannered and answered our questions. For a budget stay in Davao, especially just for one night and if you’re not too particular, it does the job. The shower and comfort room are shared, but clean and well maintained. Wi-Fi was decent, with the details given by the receptionist. Breakfast is included unless you book the dormitory or a non-air room.

Hotel Uno is worth considering for a budget stay in Davao City. It’s a short walk from Roxas Street and 7-Eleven, so basics and local attractions are easy to reach. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was simple but enough for two. Some guests say the menu isn’t flexible, though the food is generally good for the price. It doesn’t have luxurious amenities, but the location, service, and affordable rate make it good value. Be aware there may be cleanliness and maintenance issues, and the old facilities could use some improvement. With that addressed, it could be an even better choice.

The AC was faulty and noisy, and Wi-Fi was very slow at night, then absent during the day. Luckily there’s a co-working space across the street, or I might have lost my job. The complimentary tapa breakfast smelled sour and wasn’t fit to eat. The location was the only good thing about this hotel.
