A relaxing oasis, and a great base near a metric ton of waterfalls to explore. We had a lot of fun here. The staff are wonderful, especially Vicki at the bar and Woody, the owner and brew meister. The menu is extensive, and everything we've tried has been good, from the cob salad and chicken sandwiches to the ribs, especially the ribs, and baked potato. The beer is cold. The rooms are fine, nothing fancy, but the AC is cold and the shower water is hot. You won't be disappointed.

The food and beer were excellent, and we were very pleased with the comfortable, well appointed rooms. My wife and I stayed here while visiting her family in Valencia. Many higher priced resorts familiar to American travelers are on Panglao Island, more than an hour away. We look forward to returning to Kayla’s Beach Resorts in 2027.

There are a few drawbacks: the showers aren't hot, and we noticed dirt on the bottom of the pool, which didn't seem well maintained. Still, it's a relaxing place with spacious rooms, really great food, and a nice bar area.

I stopped in for a bite and tried the fish tinola, which cost around PHP 250-300. It was excellent, with big pieces of nicely cooked fish in a large bowl that could feed two. I'd come back to try more from the menu.

The rooms were the nastiest part. The amenities are so old they're no longer usable, and the pool was dirty. The beach isn't good for swimming either. The manager was the worst, and they wouldn't let visitors come into your room, even during the daytime. This is the dirtiest resort I've ever slept in.
