Amor Farm Beach Resort

It's not a farm, despite the name. The resort is quiet and relaxing, right on the beach, with places to sit outside the rooms and hammocks around the property. There's a restaurant on site with good food and lovely staff. My fan room was perfect for me, clean and had a comfortable bed. For the price, I'd call this a five-star budget place. The Whale Shark centre and dive center are about an eight-minute walk away. Divers should know they don't head out every day, though whale shark snorkeling trips do. It's outside town, but a tricycle ride takes about eight minutes and costs 30 pesos.

The team made everything easy, even having our breakfast ready just before we needed to leave and ordering a tricycle for checkout. We loved the calm, dreamy feel of Amor. It's about a ten-minute walk to the whale shark information office, and a 50 peso tricycle ride into town. They went above and beyond for us. We'd happily stay again!

The black sand beach was stunning, and the sunsets were amazing every night. The rooms are very reasonably priced, and it's only a ten-minute walk to the whale shark centre. The restaurant was another highlight, with cheap seafood that works well for a backpacker budget. A lovely, quiet place to relax in Donsol.

The staff were so warm and helpful. They let me check in early, and I could leave my bag for a few hours on checkout day while I went whale watching. It was pouring when we headed to the bus terminal, so one of them even got us a trike. The restaurant serves good food, there are nice outdoor spaces, and groups can use the volleyball court. It's a five-minute walk to the dive center and tourism office. The rooms are spacious and cute. There's no hot water, but it isn't freezing either. I really enjoyed my stay at Amor resort and would come back.
