Tiptop Tower Suite Inn

We spent a week here for a seminar, and most of the staff seemed untrained in customer service. There were no greetings or warm welcomes. The woman I think was a manager or supervisor never smiled, not even briefly. She seemed unhappy to be there, and I wondered what had happened to hospitality. A simple smile and a warm greeting would have made a difference.

The service is warm, and that makes this a great hotel.

We landed in Dumaguete at 2am with nowhere to stay and managed to get a room at Tip Top for 1,200 pesos, less than the price shown on any hotel app. The bed was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly, the shower had hot water, and breakfast was free. The location was good too. The room was a bit small and the elevator wasn’t working, but we were still extremely happy with our stay. We’ll definitely return.

It was my first trip to Dumaguete, and I picked this hotel because it was near the branch I visited. It had everything I needed, including free breakfast. I’m giving it 4 stars because the air-conditioning didn’t cool to my preferred temperature. Maybe the summer heat was too much, so I didn’t complain. Thanks to the guard for letting me in when I arrived at 4am.
