The pension is small and not especially nice, but it’s very close to the beach, which you can reach on foot. They serve breakfast with two dishes: fried egg with bread and baked goods. You can ask the owner to book El Nido tours. When you go sightseeing, a staff member takes you by tricycle to the meeting point, which is quite fun. The awkward part is that the pension isn’t on a main road. If you hire a tricycle to get there, most drivers only take you to the small alley leading to the beach, then ask you to walk 20 minutes to the pension, even though they charge 100 pesos. I’d flown to Puerto, then spent 5.5 hours in a van to El Nido. From there, I hired a tricycle, but after just two minutes the driver stopped at the alley and told me to get out and walk. I was so annoyed that I paid only 50 pesos. The tricycles can actually go further in, but the road is bad and, I think, the drivers are just too lazy. That was the only downside to my El Nido trip.
