The staff were the highlight for us, always smiling and happy to help any time of day or night. Our room was small but affordable, with a water heater and a balcony that came in handy for drying clothes after activities. Breakfast was okay, with Filipino, American-style, and pancake or waffle options. We got tired of bananas after six days, though, and I wish guests could choose their fruit. The location worked especially well for tours in El Nido. Many meeting points are by Bacuit Beach or at stalls near the hotel. When booking Tours A and C through Klook, the meeting point was about a 1-2 minute walk away. We paid around 12k for 6D5N through Booking.com. If you need to work remotely, I'd get a Smart sim card because the Wi-Fi wasn't reliable. We had a great stay and would book again if we return to El Nido.

The hotel has not contacted me for three days, and the reception staff dismissed me as just a student. Money was stolen from the hotel, and they refuse to take responsibility for what their employees did. I went to the police, but the hotel gave them a fake waiver. The place is old, the bathroom smelled awful, and there were cockroaches and rats. The towels were yellow and wet. Breakfast was eggs and bacon soaked in butter, and there was constant noise outside the window that made sleep impossible. I've never stayed somewhere this terrible.

Breakfast was pleasant, with a lovely terrace view over the harbor, and Jenson (if I remember his name correctly) was especially kind and helpful. He made that part of the stay much nicer. The rest was a mixed bag. Our room had so many mosquitoes that we had to ask for spray. The shower was moldy, and across all three nights there was basically no hot water, so we had cold showers. At check-in, the receptionist seemed distrustful and kept texting while talking to us, which came across as unprofessional. The hotel has potential, but cleanliness, upkeep, and customer service need work.

The breakfast was much too oily, especially the bread and omelette. The room service was frustrating too: we asked for cleaning and fresh towels, and were told it would be done by afternoon. When we came back from our tour, someone said the towels were still wet, so we got no replacements. The room hadn't been cleaned either. Someone at reception then said we should have left our key there, but nobody had mentioned that when arranging the cleaning. Communication was very poor. The sewer smell was awful and got stronger whenever we showered. There was sand in the shower when we first went into the bathroom. A bad experience at Aqua Travel Lodge.

We arrived back from a boat tour exhausted and salty, but they left us waiting in the lobby for over two hours and wouldn't let us shower or help us. We eventually fled to find a safe hotel, and then they sent me a link asking for an extra ₱756. They told Agoda the room had been "cleaned," though painting over mold doesn't make it clean. This felt like a total scam and a health hazard. On our first night in room 104, it was covered in mold and the smell was unbearable. We wanted to leave immediately, but they promised us a clean room for the rest of the trip if we stayed one night. They broke that promise on the last day, making us leave the clean room for new guests and trying to put us back in the moldy one. They had just painted it and kept it sealed. The fumes were so bad that the receptionist showing us the room couldn't stop coughing.
