El Nido Loft Apartment

The El Nido loft was such a great spot. It was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed after a long day out. I loved my stay and would definitely come back.

We booked the apartment through Booking.com, but when we arrived someone else was staying in the unit. There were no check-in instructions, access codes, or other details, and we couldn't reach the property. We had to ask neighbors for help; they contacted the owner, who said our reservation had been switched to a much smaller room. The area felt unsafe, with narrow, poorly lit streets that tricycles couldn't reach. On our last day, after we repeatedly asked for compensation because we'd booked a larger room, they offered us an extra night to cover the price difference. We had to continue our trip elsewhere, so we didn't use that night, and they refused a refund. After their response: I never received any communication through an app, despite their claim that the mix-up was due to confusion between Booking.com and Agoda. I booked through Booking, and their system showed Agoda, but that clearly wasn't my problem. The attached image shows my confirmation for the higher-priced apartment, not Loft 3, where they put me. Offering an extra night after I insisted on compensation didn't resolve anything, since I had to move on with my trip. It just confirmed how poor and unprofessional their customer service was. I wouldn't recommend this property.

The worst part of our ten-day stay was the service: the room wasn't cleaned once. For a few days, a family with children stayed upstairs, and they jumped around; something like dust was falling from the ceiling too. It's an okay place for a few days, but I wouldn't pick it for a longer stay. We had some electricity problems, though that happens in the area from time to time, and the internet went down for one day. Otherwise it was decent, with a smart TV and a fairly large room, especially the living room. At first it was hard to find because there are no signs, but we managed. The location is decent, about a five-minute walk from El Nido, with two mini markets, a laundry, and even a small cafe nearby.

Loved our stay at the lofts. The host was friendly and quick to respond, and it's easy to find tricycles at any time. The WiFi was the best I've found in any accommodation in Palawan. It's a great little spot between Vanilla Beach and town. I'd definitely recommend it and will 100% stay again.
