I can’t really comment on the place itself, but the staff came across as completely clueless. They didn’t know if they were fully booked and couldn’t explain the basic details of tours advertised on posters at their own reception. The whole interaction felt very unprofessional, with enough red flags that I’d avoid staying here.

We booked at the last minute and regretted it. The host was friendly when we met him on the first day, and breakfast was okay, but the stay wasn’t worth the price at all. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. There was hardly room for the two of us. Although the listing says it sleeps “5 people,” it’s really a tiny room with a small double bunk and an extra mattress squeezed in. There wasn’t a window, mosquitoes filled the room, and it smelled strongly musty. Worst of all, we got bed bugs and have been covered in bites ever since.

The two young men running the place were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. It’s also conveniently near the large Drugman supermarket, with a beautiful mountain view. Breakfast is included, with a choice of sandwich, pancakes or Filipino breakfast with egg, rice and meat. Each comes with banana and cucumber. The sandwich has two small pieces of bread, cheese, scrambled egg, sliced meat, cucumber and banana. Coffee and hot water are available all day. There were some downsides. Sound carries easily, and roosters sometimes start as early as 2 AM, so light sleepers may want earplugs. Our room faced a walkway, which meant we felt exposed if we opened the curtains. There was also an unpleasant damp smell, possibly from the rain, and the air conditioner was loud.

Mr. Tyrone was very helpful with our tour. You can message them on Facebook, and they list rooms on Airbnb for around 1300 to 1500 per night. Our 4d3n trip cost 8050 each, including a private van from PPS to Elnido and back, plus a private boat for tour A. The room matched the price: air conditioning, TV, sliding door and curtains, and a bathroom. It wasn’t especially nice to look at, but was enough for sleeping. People walking past the room and the neighbors were noticeable. Staff were very helpful. The place is walkable to restaurants and souvenir shops. Motorbikes were available, though a bit expensive for tourists, with some charging 25 per head or 300php. Breakfast was included with the accommodation.
