Lolo Panding Inn

The room was tiny, and the bathroom smelled really bad. I couldn’t adjust the air conditioning temperature. The location was the one good thing: it’s a 10-minute walk to El Nido downtown and to the vans and buses for Puerto Princesa.

The rooms are clean and the location is good, right across from the pasalubong area. The staff were very friendly, and it’s budget-friendly, so I’d recommend the place. The bathroom on the upper floor is too small, and its drain clogged while showering. The room next to reception has a bigger bathroom, but its plumbing needs fixing.

The air conditioning was really good, and the staff seemed nice, but there wasn’t much else to recommend. Some of the trouble may have been due to a language barrier, which wasn’t their fault. We stayed five nights. Breakfast was poor, arrived at very different times, and things like fried eggs were always cold. Water also pooled in our bathroom because it didn’t drain properly, leaving a terrible smell in the room for the whole stay. The room and sheets weren’t cleaned during those five nights, which would have been nice. I’d book somewhere else if you can.

I needed a place at the last minute and was nervous because of the bad reviews, but I’m glad I booked here. The staff were really friendly, and as a solo traveler I was given a family-sized room. I had hot showers and no complaints. Good value.
