We booked this place because we were watching our budget and needed to catch an early ferry to Coron the next morning. It works as a basic stopover, but in hindsight I should have paid for a private room. The dorm was clean, with a bath and a separate toilet inside, and they gave us fresh sheets and towels. The staff were very kind, the WiFi was good, and there was a dispenser with hot and cold water. Breakfast is meant to start at 7, but the cook made eggs and toast for us earlier. Cockerels and dogs barking seem normal around central Coron, but people arriving at 3 a.m. and making their beds were a bit much.

We needed somewhere near the pier for our 6 a.m. ferry, so it was fine for one night. The rate was very cheap, so I wasn't surprised there was no hot water. Our first room smelled bad and was on the first floor, but after we asked, they moved us upstairs to a better room.

The room was clean, and the staff were lovely and really attentive. The hotel has a beautiful mountain view, and the price is great, especially with breakfast included. The location is pretty, pretty good too!

This was easily the worst hotel I've stayed at in Palawan. It was run down and overpriced, and the room had a terrible sewage smell. I came back after two hours and it had got even worse. I left for another hotel and didn't even try to get my money back.
