The food was the standout for me: generous servings of tasty, authentic Filipino dishes. Try the “black-souped” chicken breast, Tausug beef, and especially the BANGUS sisig, my favorite. HARANA is tucked down a hidden alley, and they kindly let us stay for the night even though we hadn’t booked. The design gives the place a lovely atmosphere for a meal, and the service was warm, helpful, and generous.

A good spot to slow down and reset, with a nice beach area for relaxing and a laid-back island feel. The restaurant serves delicious food, and the rooms have a rustic look. Cloud 9 is just a few minutes away on foot, but you’ll want a scooter or tuk tuk to get to the main street in General Luna. Nights can be noisy from the animals, so I’d bring earplugs.

The resort was peaceful, and the dogs lounging around the shared spaces were a lovely touch. My friends and I had a great stay on our last trip to Siargao. The beds were comfortable, and the room had a real island feel. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. Highly recommended for that Siargao magic.

The instructors chose surf spots according to the day’s weather and waves, and their local knowledge made each session feel right for my progress and safe. I spent four days taking lessons with Harana Surf Camp, first with Blair and then Charlie. Both gave clear technique advice, patient corrections, and feedback suited to me. They stayed attentive in the water and made sure I felt supported. Their calm, encouraging teaching helped me improve confidently and made the lessons really enjoyable.

One of my favorite resorts on the island. The rooms are small and basic, but they’re kept in good shape. The friendly staff, lovely breakfast, and restaurant were all highlights. There’s a nice beach with a surf spot right there, depending on the season. It’s less suited to swimming since the shore is far out.
