Lubihan Siargao

The rooms are clean, but they’re tiny, and the bed setup didn’t make much sense. Ours had two beds around 120cm wide each, a little too small to be comfortable for two people. One 160 bed plus a single 90cm bed would have worked much better, for example. There’s nowhere to hang out, just your room for sleeping: no view, lounge, restaurant, or even coffee. The staff weren’t very friendly either. And the 5-6 dogs bark like crazy every morning around 4:30 and wake everyone up. Dogs are nice to have, but they should be raised properly.

The staff’s thoughtful communication made our five-day stay especially easy. They shared useful island tips, let us know their operating hours, and coordinated room cleaning clearly. They also promptly arranged a last-minute airport ride on our final night and handled our laundry. The room was clean and comfortable, with fresh sheets, towels, good internet, and air con. We chose a room without a balcony, but upgrades were available, and having room options let us stay within budget while still getting the essentials. Lubihan Siargao is on Tourism Road among great restaurants and lively bars, with beautiful beaches nearby. Renting a scooter was easy and made island exploring simple. The charming property has lush tropical plants, friendly dogs, and readily available clean filtered drinking water. My daughter had stayed a few months earlier, and they took good care of her when she got sick too, which says a lot about their consistent hospitality. I can’t recommend the place enough. Its location, affordable pricing, comfortable rooms, and exceptional service made it an ideal base for seeing Siargao, and it exceeded my expectations.

The bed was super cozy, and the place is budget friendly. It’s right in the heart of General Luna, with amenities on point and amazing restaurants and the beach within walking distance. A couple of meters away, there’s a Sunday movie “theater” called Hagdanan.

We appreciated how the staff promptly arranged airport transport at the last minute on our final night. Their detailed suggestions for restaurants, activities, and places to visit were also a big help, with notes on what was walkable and where we’d need a ride. We had a pleasant 7-night stay at Lubihan. The room stayed clean, and they always replenished the toilet paper. The central location was easy to get around from, and we loved the dogs who greeted us whenever we came back, sometimes escorting us to the road as we left. The air conditioner was a little noisy, though it wasn’t a major issue, just something they might want to check before it needs repair. A small suggestion: thicker blankets would be nice, even though we understand it’s an island setting. Thank you for a very good stay!
