Hotel Giorgio

In 2022 I stayed for a few days, checked out because of a gas smell from the water pipes, then returned a couple of weeks later after they had fixed it. I came back in 2024 only because my other hotel was full and I hadn't extended in time. This time the room was very small, even though I'd previously had a much larger one for the same price. A few minutes after I got in, the receptionist knocked to ask for 200 pesos for early check-in. It was nearly 1pm, and the 24-hour room rate was only 870 pesos, so after some back and forth I waited in the hot lobby until check-in time. Then the pet smell got stronger, and a dog kept barking. The receptionist said it was bad because it was the dogs' lunchtime. I asked about a refund, and after she called her manager, they refunded me in full, minus what I believe was the Agoda fee.

Getting around was easy from Hotel Giorgio, especially with Bulaong Bus Terminal so accessible. We had a cozy, comfortable twin bed room and were surprised by how affordable it was without giving up quality. It's our first choice for future visits. The stay was wonderful, and the location gave us an easy base for exploring.

For a little over 600 pesos a night, the room was better than we expected. It was clean and smelled nice, despite some reviews that had made me hesitant. You can see the hotel has been around a few years from the old paint under the shelves. We booked the two-single-bed room because that was the only one available on Agoda at the time.

I liked the rooms as a Filipina, and it was still a great stay 😊. But cleanliness needs work, especially because some foreign guests may not like the pet smell. The bed settings should be complete, and the hot shower needs to work really well.
