The garden was beautiful, with mangoes, papayas, star fruit, guava, and more growing on the property. They included fruit with breakfast. The big pool was great for families because it has three depths, including a shallow area for toddlers, and our kids spent hours in it. It was surprisingly quiet at the hotel, even though it's such a gem. Our room was comfortable and had two double beds, a bunk bed, a dresser, air conditioning, and a table and chairs outside. The bathroom worked fine and had hot water, but the shower felt dated and you couldn't adjust the water heater temperature. We'd definitely stay again.

Tita was a lovely host, full of local knowledge and stories. Michelle Pension felt like an authentic Filipino experience. We found a good-value Underground River tour for 2500 pesos per person. It took eight hours and made for a good day trip. We didn't do Honda Bay, so we'd have a reason to come back. The pension has no food available, so on our first night we took an affordable tricycle to Robinson‘s mall and its many restaurants. Our host suggested 30 pesos or 50 pesos each way per person, less than a pound. The next evening we rode to a local rotisserie and got a delicious whole chicken for 300 pesos. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. Our large room had two double beds and a set of bunkbeds, all solid wood, plus air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a television, a small table, and chairs for eating. Towels were provided, but there were no complimentary toiletries or water. That was fine for us. The shower was warm, though the pressure wasn't great, but we could get clean. Breakfast was either French toast with fried eggs or pancakes, which were delicious. The swimming pool seemed to be the local pool for children. We were there on a weekend, and it was absolutely full of kids having a great time both Saturday and Sunday.

The gardens were lovely and clearly well looked after by the boss lady. The pool was quiet, and you could ask for a hammock if you wanted to relax beside it. We stayed a few days and really appreciated the hospitality from all the lovely ladies. Breakfast came with plenty of delicious fruit. Thanks for looking after us.

There are fruit trees, flowers, and cabanas between the hotel and pool, so it's a beautiful spot for anyone who loves nature. The owner was incredibly hospitable and made breakfast for our whole group every day. Our large rooms comfortably fit six people. The Underground River is a little over an hour away, but it worked fine as a day trip. We had a wonderful stay and will come back next time.
