I stayed three nights, December 17-20, 2024, in a solo room. At PHP700 a night, it's an option for travelers on a tight budget, and the downtown location is its main advantage. Grocery stores, banks, restaurants, markets, and shops are all nearby, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms booked through Agoda are affordable. But several things put me off as a first-time guest. The Wi-Fi only works downstairs in the lobby, not in the rooms, and I saw small cockroaches, so don't leave uncovered food in your room. The bathroom smelled even after cleaning. My room's aircon was weak, and the stairs were difficult for families with children or elderly guests. The TVs weren't working either, so there was no entertainment. I'd consider it if budget is the priority, with rates as low as PHP700 per night, but if you have more to spend or are particular about your room, look elsewhere. My rating: 2/5.

Bakasyunan Inn is handy for getting around Laoag City, right beside the Provincial Capitol and near major groceries, department stores, and restaurants. The room was clean and economical, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. A solo room for 24 hours can cost Php 700, which works well for a tight budget. There's no parking, though. For an affordable, clean place in the city, it's a good choice.

The inn is right in the heart of the city, and the staff were nice during my two-night stay. I still gave it three stars because the room's double lock was broken, I spotted a few small cockroaches, and the aircon got noisy on my last night. Biggest issue for me was NO FREE WIFI in the room. I work from home, so that was a problem. If you only need somewhere to sleep, I'd still recommend it.

The location is good, to be fair, but there are better places nearby. The photos online look like they might be from six years ago. I'd skip this hotel.

Some rooms have a balcony, and the room has a heated shower, bidet, TV, and aircon. The staff were good and considerate. They only provide bath soap attached in the shower, with no toothpaste or toothbrush like some other places. That's fine with me since I prefer using my own things.
