We booked expecting a beach, but there really isn't one, and that was the biggest letdown. The tiny beach access area was covered in algae and crowded with boats. To get to an actual white sand beach, you'd have to take an island tour. Going out to eat elsewhere also meant walking without a sidewalk and dodging cars. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and excellent, with a huge bathroom. On the second day, we couldn't get the room cleaned because, for some reason, everyone else seemed to be a priority. The other services were great, though, and the staff were as welcoming and friendly as Filipinos can be.

The hotel had an elegant feel, and the customer service staff were warm and attentive. The 1000-peso buffet dinner didn't have many dishes to choose from, but everything else was very good.

The breakfast spread was lovely, and there are spa services on site. I tried a few and found them decent, though a booking mix-up between reception and the spa meant I waited more than two hours for a service in a quiet area. That was frustrating. I booked seven rooms so my family could relax, and the birds and koi add a nice touch. The pool was great, but the jacuzzi wasn't heated. Bad weather meant we had no cable for three of our four days, though the internet still worked. It was a good stay, just not an amazing one.

We arrived to check in at midnight and had paid the full amount for a family room. What we were given was a room that felt like a dump, and nobody was there to hear our complaint. Book carefully and make sure the room matches what you saw.

They billed us thousands for towels they said were missing, but offered no explanation or proof. Breakfast had very little to choose from, and the shower wasn't working properly.
