Tyche Boutique Hotel

I left after an hour of a booked two-day stay because the room felt suffocating and the service was so poor. I found the rooms extremely small, like other hotels in the area, and uncomfortable from the moment I entered. Cleanliness was another concern, as staff didn’t seem to maintain it properly. When I raised my concerns, the manager at reception was unhelpful, seemed overwhelmed, and couldn’t handle even basic requests. We couldn’t have a constructive conversation or resolve anything. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable, well-managed stay.

Booking through Agoda worked out well. Check-in was easy, and the staff paid attention to our questions. Their restaurant has several breakfast options, and our meal was delicious and freshly cooked. The hotel is near Ayala Mall and other shops. I also really appreciate their customer service: they accommodated my request about the clothes I left behind. Highly recommended.

The breakfast that came with the stay was extra dry, with a side of tasteless pork tapa. The shower water was scalding hot, with no way to adjust the temperature, so we couldn’t shower. Under a black light, stains showed all over the sheets. I’m not sure if they were semen, blood, saliva, mold, or something else, and the employees couldn’t tell us either. They said they were laundry detergent stains and the sheets were old. When we asked for clean sheets, they had conveniently run out because the hotel was fully booked. What hotel doesn’t keep extra sheets in case something happens? I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to another tourist, traveler, or friend. 0/10.

The free set breakfast for guests is there, though it didn't make me want to come back for it. This little hotel seems better suited to younger guests. The room was clean, but very cramped, and there’s no elevator. Those stairs could be hard for older people.
