The rooms are basic, in a Pinoy style, but they were clean. We got great service from the very friendly resort staff, who did our shopping and cooking for us.

The room was clean, the price was affordable, and it’s pet friendly. The owner and staff were friendly and quick to answer questions. Still, it wasn’t worth the money for us, and we won’t return. I booked the Barcelona room because the owner said it had its own bathroom right across from the room. That was true, but the people staying next door kept using it, so it was often dirty with sand and occupied when we needed it. With no lock to limit access, it felt like a shared bathroom. They didn’t provide a blanket, towel, or toiletries. We only realized there was no blanket when we got cold around 2 a.m. The water supply wasn’t good either. There was no electricity from check-in until about 6 p.m., and there was no Wi-Fi. Both GLOBE and SMART had little to no connection.

The villas have their own charm, with thoughtful decor inspired by the destination and lovely colors and furniture. HMV is a great fit if you’re after nature-inspired villas or casitas. The staff were warm and accommodating, and our Christmas stay was memorable. Thanks 🙏. Worth the trip!

Riding a small boat, or banca, for the first time was exhilarating. I loved touching the water as the boat sailed and bounced over the waves.
