Olle Hotel

We booked on the D-day at a reasonable price, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was cozy and clean, and the restaurant’s Korean food was tasty. The pool area had both a lap pool and a kiddie pool, though it needed more regular cleaning. Clark Parade Grounds is only a 5-10 minute walk away.

I came here for the function room, so I can’t comment on the accommodation. The location is good, away from the main highway, and there’s parking at the back. The short access road is passable, but not in the best condition.

This hotel works for a transit or overnight stop, but I wouldn’t expect much beyond that. The rooms have basic amenities and a smart TV, though they look dated and a bit gaudy with the gold and white paint. The toilet has a funky smell, but it usually goes away after you shower.

The deluxe room was clean and roomy, and the bathroom had plenty of space too, though there was nothing separating the shower from the toilet area. The hotel feels older and its decor isn't the modern style you see these days, but it's kept up and still looks nice. There were only 10 TV channels, and the WiFi didn't work. Since the owner is Korean, most of the instructions, even on the remote, were in Korean with no translation. The food was okay. For a low-priced place, it was fine as long as you don't expect too much.
