Fersal Hotel Neptune Makati

$300 was taken from our luggage by the cleaning staff. The room safe wasn’t working, which makes me wonder why. If you book here, make sure not to leave valuables in the room.

The location worked well for a short walk to Burgos Street or the mall on the left, and the 7-11 next door was very convenient. I wasn’t bothered by many people directly outside the hotel, mostly just someone asking for coins when I went to 7-11. The rooms were larger and fresher than I expected for the price range, and the water stations in the hallway with a big jug to fill in the room are a nice way to cut down on plastic bottles. Bathroom was a little dated but fine. Staff I encountered were all very friendly. Air conditioning was cold, though a bit noisy like a box unit. The shower pressure was strong, and the water got super hot. The TV didn’t work during my stay. They said they were changing providers or something, and I gave up asking. I booked two nights, then the price went up by 50% when I extended for more nights. I’m not sure why, since the price was the same when I checked the first nights while booking. I’d stay again if the TV worked for lazy nights in.

Room 202 was very clean, with spacious twin beds. The hotel is right in the heart of Makati. It’s relatively old, but there’s nothing to complain about at this price. As a budget option, it’s more than excellent.

I meant to stay for two nights, but ended up being here for two weeks. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The window air conditioner was somewhat loud, but it cooled the room well.
