The people here are what make the stay special. Everyone I encountered, from security and the front desk to the breakfast crew, was consistently friendly, professional, and helpful. Lorie and Gab deserve a special mention. They checked in with me at breakfast each morning, remembered me, and made me feel welcome. Those small gestures mattered. I had only booked one night at Lub d Makati at first, but I liked it enough to extend several times during the week. The hospitality also beat what I’ve had at hotels costing two or three times as much. For a budget-friendly place, it went well beyond what I expected. This isn’t a luxury resort for spending the day in your room. If you’re in Makati to explore and want somewhere clean, comfortable, and well located to return to at night, Lub d is hard to beat for the money. I’d happily stay here again on my next trip to the Philippines.

My room was spacious and quiet, with the essentials provided, and the staff quickly arranged an iron when I asked. I had a comfortable two-night stay. The part that didn’t sit right was check-in: foreign guests who were first-timers got to play a “lucky wheel” game, while I was checking in at the same time as a local first-timer and was ignored. The stay was good, but everyone should get the same hospitality.

Lub D has a lively atmosphere and really good service. Connie was so kind and helpful the whole time. When I lost my keytag, she made getting back into my room easy. Her smile and upbeat attitude made my day. She’s a gem 😊

I booked the room for a family friend, and she said everything was fine until the air-conditioning stopped working. She woke up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. The room was clean and tidy, and the price is reasonable. It’s decent budget accommodation, but I sincerely hope they fix the air-conditioning. Thank you.
