MAXX Hotel Makati

The staff and reception were good, but there’s a lot that needs fixing at this hotel. My room was dirty and dusty throughout, with bad odors, especially from the sofa. The toilet was dirty, water pooled on the floor, and the room wasn’t properly maintained. The shower had no hot water.

The restaurant was a nice part of our stay. Breakfast was good at 250 php, and the salted caramel coffee was really good too, about 188 php. We liked the room, bathroom, and bed, and it came with the toiletries we needed, including soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a toothbrush and toothpaste. The rest of the room was nice and clean, but the floor was very dusty and had some dirt, so that's why we gave it 4 stars.

The employees were the only good part of staying here. I was here for quarantine, and the whole experience felt really depressing. The room was very dusty, the hallway looked dirty, water dripped from the air conditioner, and there was a strange smell. They provided only soap, with no shampoo or disinfectant.

We only stayed for six hours to sleep between flights, and the smell was unbearable. I wouldn't recommend it to any kind of traveler. The place presents itself as a concept hotel, apparently offering a Ninja Turtles' Home sewage-system experience throughout the facility, all included in the price. They even seemed committed enough to the theme to leave out toilet paper. It didn't look like a bad hotel otherwise.
