Somerset Olympia Makati

Everyone made us feel welcome, from the valet when we arrived to the housekeeping team saying goodbye at checkout. Mr. Bryan at the Front desk was accommodating, and the front desk lady even gave my daughter a coloring book to take home. We ordered a Studio Executive and got a Suite upgrade at no charge. The room was neat and spacious, and we especially enjoyed the bath tub. Breakfast arrived when expected and tasted great. The pool was clean, and we had it to ourselves. We stayed two nights at Somerset Olympia Makati, and everything went well. We’ll surely return.

The staff looked after me from booking and airport pickup through checkout, and were kind and accommodating throughout. Old Swiss Inn's food was good, and having wine was a must for getting through quarantine. The internet was okay, although some spots had no signal. I spent 10 days here for mandatory quarantine after booking directly by email, and it made the experience much easier. The hotel is dated, but the room was very comfortable, spacious, and had two small balconies and a fully equipped kitchen. I also liked relaxing in the bath tub. I had a very good stay at Somerset Olympia and highly recommend it.

We stayed at Somerset Olympia for Christmas Eve and had a great time, even though I’d been a little worried after reading other guests’ reviews. Our rooms were clean, roomy enough for everyone, and the bedrooms were nicely prepared. The staff were all courteous and kind. We booked a two-bedroom deluxe for the celebration plus two Studio Executive rooms. Breakfast at Old Swiss Inn Restaurant was decent, even though it was plated. We also appreciated that pets are welcome for a relatively small fee of 1k per pet per night, compared with what other hotels charge. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a decent, reasonably priced place in the Metro. :)

We booked through Airbnb, and the route to the lobby was a little interesting, with some stairs to navigate to reach the elevator. The staff were polite, friendly, and ready to help. The building has a couple of places to eat and a well-stocked 7 eleven with tables and seats. Laundry costs 300php per load. You can have your clothes brought to your room or pick them up later. They’re open until 10pm, and the clothes came back clean and neatly folded.
