Bamboo Beachhouse

We stayed eight nights and still wished we’d had more time. A lot of guests extended their visits while we were there. The beach right outside was incredible: we often saw turtles, and apparently it’s rare, but we also spotted a whale shark out front, along with the little local fishing boats. Our room was clean, comfortable for our family of four, and cool with the air conditioning. The kids were especially happy with the mezzanine, which was a lovely surprise. We also ate really well. The omelettes and pancakes were our favorite breakfasts, and dinner was cold beers with chicken curry or fried chicken. So affordable, too. Ms Lisa and her crew were great hosts and shared lots of local tips. We can’t wait to plan another trip.

A good budget option, with a pool and an open deck where you can watch the sunset over the ocean. It was mostly clean. The music across the street got pretty loud, though.

The pool was clean and refreshing, and we could snorkel right beside the water. The host family were kind and very helpful, and we enjoyed the food. We had a wonderful time here.

I needed a place to unwind after a brutal month, and luckily found this spot through Google Maps. It really has the whole package: welcoming staff, relaxed vibes, nice-looking areas, and a spacious room. Everything felt made for relaxing. We spent 3D2N and only paid 2k, which is incredibly affordable. There’s plenty to do on site too: billiards is free, there’s a swimming pool, and we tried the snorkeling and kayaking for just 200 pesos each. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a quick break from stress.
