Lanzones Cabana

We booked at the last minute, and the staff were so kind. The amenities were all great, with plenty of chairs by the nice pool and lots of showers and comfort rooms. The cabins are comfortable enough for resting.

The food tasted great and the portions were generous for the price, but dinner took more than two hours to arrive. We had kids with us, and one actually cried from hunger. Luckily, we had lunch leftovers to feed them. Staff kindly didn’t charge corkage since we were already famished. We came during the November holiday with family and booked four rooms. They were small, cozy, and clean, more suited to backpackers, I’d say. Basic toiletries were provided, and I liked that the toilet was separate from the bathroom. It was clean and had no noticeable smell. They also provided plenty of hangers and a laundry rack outside. The view was lovely, and I appreciated that the owner kept so many plants instead of clearing them to build more. The pool was great, and the kids had a wonderful time. Staff were courteous and friendly throughout. It was packed for the holiday, so I can’t call it quiet. The internet was slow, possibly because so many people were using it. A maintenance worker cut the grass on the afternoon we arrived and again the next morning. The lawnmower was disruptive, and I couldn’t sit outside and enjoy the view that morning. I appreciate that they maintain the grounds, but they could have scheduled the work for a weekday with fewer guests instead of a fully booked holiday weekend.

The L1 cabana is roomy enough for up to eight, and the two air conditioners, one in the bedroom and one in the living area, both worked great. Having a fridge, rice cooker, and heater was handy too. The place looks nice, but service needs work: staff didn't seem very welcoming or quick to respond. Our silog took ages because the cook wasn't there, the bathroom smelled bad, possibly from the septic tank, and nobody was at the desk when we checked out.

We were 10 people and booked two cabanas for four plus one for two. The pool was good, and having a coffee shop on site was a nice bonus. The front desk gentleman was warm and helpful, asked about our dinner food needs right away, and gave us a kilo of lanzones as part of the Lanzones Festival promotion. The rooms were comfortable, though the bathroom in our unit gave us a shock whenever we touched the faucet or shower control. Staff tried to help, but maintenance or an electrician should check it. We'd stay here again.
