OYO 166 Maanyag Pension House

For the 900 I paid, the stay was terrible. At check-in, there was no water; it came around 10 PM, and the flow was slower than my pee. The AC was hot even set to 16°. There was no Wi-Fi, the signal was slow, and there was no soap, shampoo, tissue at the desk, or TV. The service wasn't hospitable, either. Check-in was by 6 PM and checkout was at noon the next day. If you stay monthly, there’s no kitchen. Some windows were damaged and just covered with curtains. An employee brought a towel from storage, and it was visibly dusty.

The bed was neat and made up, but the floor clearly hadn't been cleaned properly, especially under the bed. The bathroom was disgusting: black, moldy tiles and it looked like it had never been cleaned. I had to buy bleach and disinfect it before I could use it.

The reception man was very nice and helpful, and check-in went smoothly. Wi-Fi was very good and fast. The double layer of sponge on the bed was actually comfortable, and the place was easy to find with lots of things nearby. But the room needs renovation and proper maintenance, especially with all the mold, which is really unhealthy. The photos showed a very different room, so I was disappointed and felt embarrassed about inviting a friend. The water was barely lukewarm, though you could buy refills with coins and hot coffee. The modular window let you hear everything, as it opened onto the walkway to the other rooms and scooter parking. People talked very loudly even at 10-11 PM, though it was quiet at night. I got sick a day later. It's cheap, but you can find better for the price. A very mediocre stay.

The hotel itself had few frills, but the atmosphere was great. Everyone was nice, and there's Wi-Fi and a security guard. When our AC stopped working, someone came right up and fixed it. Across the street there's a cool little store where you can get a nice breakfast, plus another little store. Down the street and around the corner was the BEST drink, something called a Panda. Sorry, I can't remember the place's name, but the store owner knew it when I asked for an iced coffee.
