Best Fortune Hotel

We booked seven days, but ended up leaving after five because the constant noise had us all exhausted and feeling sick. We moved to another room on the third day and it was just as noisy. They refunded only one day, even though we still had two days left, but we chose to leave anyway. That’s how bad it was. Construction banging was going on, I suspect, and the staff said there was nothing they could do. We should have been told about the construction before booking. Traffic made things worse, with cars and motorcycles, especially in congestion, blasting their horns. We could hear it all. Room 305 had no bidet or hair dryer. The linens were dirty, the curtains didn’t block the light, and the door locks felt so weak that a child kicking the door could probably open it. We changed hotels just to get a decent rest. This was meant to be a great family vacation and turned into our worst by far. We picked the place for its location, but I’d rather walk farther and pay a little extra than lose sleep. If you can add 200p, find somewhere else. This stay wasn’t worth it.

Everything around here is walkable, and waiying is right across the street, so it’s great for Binondo food trips. The building is old, sure, but it’s clean and still a very good place to stay. The rooms are ice cold, and the CR has heaters. They also provide free hot and cold water.

There are no windows to see outside, and the place has an eerie feeling. Don’t be surprised if you see or feel something. The rooms are old but clean, and the location is good. Some staff are friendly, while others seem grumpy. It works as a backup if you don’t have another choice.

The staff really made me feel like part of the community, which I appreciated a lot. Staying here puts you right in the heart of China Town, across from and alongside well-known Binondo restaurants and shops. It’s a very cheap hotel, so don’t expect too much. The building is old and the facilities have seen better days. It may not suit picky tourists, but it’s a good fit for travellers who just want a nice place to stay.
