Citystate Tower Hotel

The bus to Puerto galera starts right in front of the hotel, which is nice. I’ve been here about 10 times, and it’s a really nice place that seems to get better and upgrade on every visit.

Jules, Joy, Jessa, sylvia, Ramon of bell, and the rest of the Security men made my hotel experience much better. The receptionist welcomed me with a smile, and check-in was smooth and efficient. They were accommodating, professional, and ready to help with questions or requests. I felt comfortable and valued, and really appreciated that genuine hospitality. I highly recommend the hotel for its service and welcoming atmosphere.

The guards were great, and housekeeping cleaned the room well and were very courteous. Service was okay. The place has clearly seen better days, and this 3 star hotel is pretty old, though the rooms were relatively clean. There was free coffee and water, toiletries, running hot water, clean sheets, comfy beds, very cold AC, and lots of pillows that held their shape instead of letting you sink in. The breakfast buffet had limited choices and left much to be desired, but it was included and filling. For the price, I’d give it 2.5/5. I’ve read comments about things being stored in the hallways, and that’s true. Maybe they shouldn’t be there, though the signs say those areas are under renovation. Overall, not bad but not good either. This was a sponsored booking, so I can’t complain.

Breakfast choices were very limited, and part of the corridor to our room was being used for storage. In the room there was no luggage rack, hand towel, or shower gel, just soap. They also require a 1000PHP deposit in cash only. The hotel is on a busy street with restaurants, a convenient store, and pubs within walking distance. It passes as a quick stopover.
