Manila Manor Hotel

It's basic, so don't expect much. For the price, I'd say they're trying their best. The building is old, and walking into the elevator and corridor made me feel like I'd gone back to the 1970s, or even the 1960s. My room looked renovated, but the furniture was just old, not antique. More like, "This still seems good and useful, let's keep it." The water was clean, and so were the bathroom and floor. There was aircon, a TV, and Wi-Fi. Just a basic place to sleep for the night.

The photos on Google made this place look lovely, but inside it felt old and creepy. My boyfriend felt we'd been misled by the pictures, and the hotel was also very strict about visitors needing ID. They wouldn't accept even a photo of a passport or ID. Since we'd already paid online, we felt we had no choice but to give it a try.

The rooms and common areas need serious cleaning and renovation. Our room was old and dirty, the carpets were filthy, the bathroom and toilet weren't clean, and I saw cockroaches and mosquitoes. The staff were rude too, including the night staff on October 7, 2025, and the security guard around 11:00 a.m. on October 8, 2025. I felt the guard stereotyped me and didn't give me the help or resolution I needed. The hotel is at 1660 Bocobo Street, Malate. They said they'd refund me, but after I left, that didn't happen. My stay was appalling, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The room was uncomfortable, with dirty-feeling sheets and beds, and the promised hot shower was just cold water. There were cockroaches, and the whole building smelled musty. The online photos and description give a misleading impression of comfort and convenience. I left stressed and disappointed, and the hotel needs to address basic upkeep and cleanliness. If your health, rest, or money matter to you, avoid Manila Manor Hotel.
