Miramar Hotel

We booked a night here so we could start early for our US Visa interview and leave our things while we were out. Our room faced Roxas Blvd. and was spacious, with the TV, A/C, toilet, and hot shower all working fine. But there’s no sound insulation: sirens, loud motorcycles, and trucks from Roxas blvd carried through the room, and I could feel the bed vibrate as 18-wheelers passed. Also, the elevator on the first floor can only be reached after climbing a flight of stairs, so keep that in mind if traveling with a senior or PWD. The staff were all pleasant, and I liked the art-deco style they’re trying to preserve.

The staff were warm and courteous and greeted us with smiles during our three-day stay. The location worked well for us, with the US Embassy and training centers just a short walk away. If I need a place to stay in Manila again, I’ll definitely come back.

The hotel is old but charming, and the cozy rooms have a refrigerator, TV, private bathroom, and WIFI. The staff are friendly and helpful. There’s a restaurant on site, a 24-hour convenience store around the corner, and a wash and dry service nearby. Traffic noise does come in from outside, so light sleepers should be aware.

Miramar Hotel has a lot of character, from its historic building and beautiful art deco details to its relaxed, classic feel in the rooms and common areas. It isn’t flashy, but it has a cozy charm that many modern hotels lack. The staff made me feel at home from the moment I arrived, and everyone was warm, generous, and genuinely friendly. The food was delicious at every meal and clearly made with care. For such a lovely experience, the price feels like an added bonus. A Manila stay with history, heart, and great value. Highly recommended!
