Oyo cancelled our reservation on the day we were meant to check in, the eve of CNY, saying they had problems with the rooms. As expected, there were no other hotels available. This isn’t my first problem with an Oyo property: at another one, my Agoda booking couldn’t be found in the hotel’s Oyo system. I won’t book with Oyo again. They said the Feb 10-11 bookings for two rooms were fine. I booked through Agoda with “pay at property” and paid cash, but my credit card was still charged. Thieves!

There are Chinese food places nearby serving authentic Chinese food, and the well-known Binondo Catholic church, the parish of st. Lorenzo Ruiz, is very close. The hotel is in the heart of the Chinese community in Binondo, in an old six-floor building. We paid an affordable price for a standard air-conditioned room, but the rooms need renovation and are not non-smoking. Mostly Chinese citizens were staying there. If you just need somewhere cheap to leave your things and rest briefly while you explore, I’d recommend it. For comfort or a pleasant place to relax and stay, I wouldn’t.

It’s one of the cheapest places to stay in the area. Nearby food shops are within walking distance, which is a plus. If you just need a bed and don’t care much about the room setup, this could work.
