The bathroom was a letdown: water from the faucet barely dripped, and there was no ventilation. We also paid for an air-conditioned room, but the AC barely worked, and it was cooler outside. The staff said the rooftop pool was closed because many foreigners were having sex there. We chose the hotel after seeing nice photos and decent reviews. The room itself was nice, but the location felt really strange. I wouldn't want to stay here again.

Cheap prices and a relaxed atmosphere were the only things I liked. The hostel is in a very dodgy area, and I didn't walk around alone. When I first arrived, I thought the taxi had taken me to the wrong address. There's no sign outside, and to reach the hostel I had to go through a weird gym, past a 24-hour security guard who was asleep, then take a tiny elevator. The rooms don't even have keys to lock them. Facilities were poor too. Showering was almost impossible because barely any water came from the showerhead. The worst place I've ever stayed.

They were so kind to our sick friend, checking on her and bringing her medicine. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the place is lovely for relaxing, with a nice pool, common area, music, and a pool table. I'd recommend staying here if you're visiting Manila.

The balcony view over the city and the backpacker atmosphere are the best parts for me. Rooms are tidy and affordable, and the staff are always helpful. It's a little hard to find, so have a map ready. I love this place and will definitely keep coming back!

Pink Manila Hostel made for a great stay. It's cheap and well placed in central Manila, and the rooftop terrace bar is a lovely place to unwind, have a drink, chat, or use the swimming pool. The food is good and reasonably priced, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed talking with Marie. They also offer free luggage storage if you're passing through Manila, plus a convenient chill-out fee for a short stop when you don't need a bed. I really recommend it.
