There was a strong smell of smoke around the property, even in the elevator, despite the no-smoking signs. The hotel is lively and works better for people who enjoy nightlife than for anyone hoping for an early, quiet night. I liked the central location, with amenities nearby, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. My executive suite was very spacious, but a lot of that space felt wasted. The older fridge and air conditioning kept comfort pretty average.

For the price, Rothman Hotel offers reliable service and good value. The staff were courteous and accommodating, and my room was clean and spacious. It isn't as modern as newer hotels, but it was comfortable. Being in Malate, Manila made it easy to get to restaurants, shops, and transport, and Manila Bay is a short distance away. 🏨

The air-conditioning was a little noisy, though it worked well. My room was clean and spacious, and both the staff and location were good.

I booked the executive king room. There was plenty of space, it was spotlessly clean, and the fridge came in handy. The big TV had lots of English channels, which you don't often find in Thailand, for example. I'd read that the AC could be loud, but it was fine, and the bed wasn't especially plush yet I slept well. A good choice in the Malate Manila neighborhood, with Intramuros, Binondo, and Rizal park within walking distance. The area is extremely vibrant in the mornings.
