The room and property are nice, but our return late at night was a bad experience. My friends and I had been at the bars nearby, and when we got back, the gate was shut and every light was off, including in the lobby. We couldn't see a thing. It felt like they turned the lights off without knowing whether guests had returned. The staff weren't very accommodating either, and the place didn't feel welcoming. If you're going out partying in Moalboal, this probably isn't for you: it's far from the party spots, and coming back to a completely dark hostel was unsettling. 😅

The location felt quite far away, and the beach was some distance from the hostel. The rooms weren't comfortable, they stayed too hot even with the air conditioning on. The lights by each bed didn't work, and the cabinets were dusty and unclean. I wasn't satisfied with the service. Some staff weren't approachable, and they left their own dishes for us to wash, even though we were visitors and already had our own dishes to clean. During our night activity by the pool, they closed the window and switched off the lights while we were still there. At least they showed us some respect.

The staff were friendly, and the place felt cozy, with board games around. I stayed in a Family Room where the hot water wasn't working, but they let me use the bathroom in another empty room.
