My one suggestion would be stronger shower pressure. Other than that, we had such a relaxing stay, tucked among trees and wildlife. The birds, rustling leaves and sea breeze made a lovely break from city noise. Food was freshly cooked to order and well seasoned. I especially liked the shrimp tempura and coffee shake, both a must try. The restaurant has a beautiful ocean view, too. Simon and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely return.

There’s plenty to do around the grounds, from kayaking and wandering about to relaxing in a hammock or on the jetty. We spent two nights in the dorms and loved it. The beds had their own windows, and both the dorms and bathrooms were clean and bright. The surroundings are beautiful, the food was really tasty, and the owners and staff made us feel welcome. It’s backpacker-friendly and close to Moalboal, with a nice balance of adventure and downtime. I’d happily come back and recommend it.

Simon and Allan made us feel genuinely welcome, and Fred in the kitchen turns out some of the tastiest food around. This nature-focused place is quiet, about 10 minutes from Moalboal, with stunning views and a great restaurant. We had a fantastic stay and it was a lovely place to unwind after traveling all over Philippines. We’ll be back.

If you’re into plants and birds, this place is even more special. I planned on two nights, then stayed four because I didn’t want to leave. The landscape and accommodation are lovely, and the attentive, warm staff and owners made us feel welcome. The food deserves a visit on its own, especially for vegetarians and vegans. There’s a generous selection, good portions, and the quality, nutrition and taste are great for the price. I especially recommend the chicken adobo with coconut milk and Puso Eskapo-style (veg). It’s peaceful and surrounded by nature, away from Moalboal’s crowds and pollution. I’d choose to stay here over Panagsama beach or Moalboal any day. Panagsama is a short ride away for the sardines, and the waterfalls and peak lookouts are closer from here.

The rooms were very clean, and I didn’t really miss having air conditioning at night. The hosts were kind, welcoming and easy to talk to. The food was excellent, with delicious authentic dishes as well as a western breakfast. Even before check-in, a gentleman came out to help with our luggage. I’d recommend staying here and would come back if I’m in the area.
