The beach and view out front are really good, and the staff were humble and apologetic, but the management made this a terrible stay. There was poor coordination between the person handling our room reservation and the owner. We’d been told the tents could stay until 7am, yet before 6am the owners, husband and wife, took turns yelling at our friends who were still sleeping in them and threatening a P5,000 fine if they didn’t take them down. The room was meant for 8, but had only 3 beds and barely enough room to walk from the door to the bathroom. The bathroom was cramped, with a curtain and a door that wouldn’t close or lock properly. The air-condition filter was so dirty my partner had to clean it. The price wasn’t worth it.

The room cleanliness and the owner’s behavior completely spoiled our stay, even though the caretakers were polite and accommodating. There were more than 10 of us. While we unloaded our things, the elderly woman who owned the place kept asking for payment every time we passed her. We understood that payment was due, but it felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. A friend explained that we’d pay once the person who booked the stay finished his meeting. The owner still went straight to him in one of their cottages and demanded payment while the meeting was going on. The rooms were filthy, smelled strongly of cockroaches, and we had to clean them ourselves. The bedsheets looked old and as if they hadn’t been changed in a long time. There was no dishwashing sink, just a faucet and bowl in the comfort room, which was inconvenient. We’d planned to stay two nights but cancelled the second. We’d also put up three tents outside. At 7 AM the next day, they woke our friends by shouting, “HIPUSA NANA NINYO!!! KAY MAKABAYAD MO!!!!” and threatening a ₱5,000 fine if we didn’t pack up right away. The location may be nice, but the poor cleanliness, service, and disrespectful treatment mean I can’t recommend this resort.

I paid 2500 for a single-bed room with AC and found it far from decent. The AC was on full but the room was still hot, maybe because there was no ceiling. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t close, so they’d put up a curtain instead of fixing it. Nails were sticking out of the badly built bed frame, which was dangerous for kids. I wouldn’t recommend this resort.

The owner was rude and scrappy, and wouldn’t even let my grandmother, who has a disability, use the bathroom to pee. The bathroom fee wasn’t worth it either. This place shouldn’t be a tourist destination. Municipality of Moalboal, why do you let this business operate?

We ended up leaving around 2AM, and they didn’t issue official receipts. This was meant to be a special family gathering and my baby’s gender reveal, but the staff, possibly a family member of the owner, ruined the whole occasion. I can’t remember if it was the owner’s son. The rooms were unfurnished, with plain cement floors instead of tiles. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, so it was covered by curtains, and although the rooms had air-conditioning, it didn’t work. When other family members arrived late, they were immediately asked for an entrance fee and extra water payment, even though none of them had used the bathroom yet. Very upsetting. I’m never going back.
