Savedra Beach Bungalows

The balcony was my favorite part, a nice place to sit and enjoy the view. Our room was clean and spacious, though the design felt a little dated. It can get noisy, with people shouting outside and music from nearby bars coming through. For a group of friends, this place is perfect.

The view of the boats on the clear water was magnificent, and the staff were accommodating with extra requests when they had what we needed. The rooms were clean and elegant, with cozy beds, a wardrobe safe, complimentary coffee and an electric kettle, plus drinking water, a fridge with beer or other drinks, and snacks. It was a bit pricey since we booked the night before traveling to Moalboal. Keep in mind that the sea level is less appealing in the afternoon and evening. High tide is usually around 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; there’s only a tiny stretch of white sand, with lots of rocks. Still, I think a visit is worth it.

The hotel is clearly outdated, but the balcony faces Negros and the view is lovely. I could see the sardines right in front of me without going to that little island. There are millions of fish to look at, so bring snorkel gear or rent some nearby, it’s cheap. Bars and restaurants are close, with a dive center and coffee shop across the way. We were lucky to get a room with parking. Otherwise, you have to park a little farther away.

The balcony is the best part, with a beautiful view right over the ocean. The rooms aren’t fancy, but the location is nice, and the sardines are usually right in front of the door. It’s a busy spot, though, and the loud bar next door might keep you up late. If you like nightlife, you’re right beside it.
