Native House Resort powered by Cocotel

The food really stood out, from the delicious Filipino comfort food and egg noodles to the quality food and special fried rice. The fish and chips were beautifully plated, with well-balanced flavors and cooked just right. Five stars for that! I don't usually write reviews, but this place deserved one. The setting is beautiful and tucked away from any big town, like a little paradise. From the moment we arrived, all the staff were kind and attentive.

The roosters woke me at 4 a.m. for the first few nights, though that's not the hotel's fault. I also wish the rooms were cleaned and the towels changed more often. They did take care of it when asked. I ended up extending my stay at Native House for FOUR nights, which I never do. The pool area is gorgeous, and the bar plays dance music in the evening. The room's air conditioning and fan were first rate. Igor sometimes BBQs tuna steaks in the evening, and that was honestly one of my favorite meals. Justy and Evan were lovely too. All in all, I had a great stay.

We booked the kawasan falls trip through the hostel and thought it was great value. The hostel itself was great too, with a clean pool and roomy, comfortable seating areas. Cocktails were cheap, and the location couldn't be better, just a short walk from the beach and close to the main strip. Beds, showers, and toilets were clean and maintained every day.

The atmosphere and pool were the best parts of my stay. The breakfast had a tasty selection, and I liked it, but the food felt terribly overpriced. I wouldn't mind paying that much if the food quality and service were great, but I found it frustrating. Some staff could use more hospitality training, especially for a place that presents itself as high end. I enjoyed the stay, though it could have been perfect.
