1010 Hotel

We got an extra mattress even though the hotel was fully booked, and the staff were always welcoming and tried to make things easy for us. It’s a handy spot near the Starmall terminal, convenience stores, markets, and Festival Mall. Getting there by public transport worked fine for us, though I don’t think there’s parking. Expect some highway noise and an atmosphere a bit like Cubao. The price felt fair for what we got, and it’s a good convenient option in the area. Just don’t book it if you’re after a particularly stylish place.

The room and helpful staff were the best parts of our stay near Filinvest for the Garmin Run PH event. I thought it was worth the price, though breakfast could be better. Check-in took 45 minutes, and I had to ask twice before being told the previous guests had left late and the room was being cleaned thoroughly. I wish someone had let me know sooner. One other thing: family rooms for 3-4 people may have windows, which is a downside because the highway traffic is so loud that a good night's sleep is hard.

The building photos gave a misleading impression, and the area didn’t feel safe for travelers. There’s no driveway for a proper drop-off either. We waited over an hour for the booking and room to be sorted out, and the hotel service was poor. I was very disappointed with the whole stay. The bedding and fleece blankets seemed like they hadn’t been washed in a while, and they made me so itchy I couldn’t sleep properly.
