The main draw here is the location: it's by the seawall, Texas Joe's BBQ Restaurant is next door, plenty of other places to eat are within about 100 meters, and there's a 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel itself is an old, plain inn with hot water in the showers but no Wi-Fi. If all you need is somewhere to sleep, it does the job. I'd put it closer to two and a half stars.

For 1.5k for the night, we got a tidy, clean room and an okay, hassle-free stay. The staff did waive the extra-person charge after I had a small argument about it, and they were considerate. Breakfast is only part of a different package rate. Check-in is the usual 2 pm, with checkout by noon the next day. The building has two floors and an open registration area, and it isn't too far from the resto bars. The low price can make you expect more amenities and room service than this place offers. We had to change rooms after noticing the room beside the stairs had windows that weren't fixed properly and no locking dock. We chose security over having a heating machine. It was fine, but there are better nearby options if you look around, and next time we'll stay at another hotel.
