The view is lovely, but the service was the worst we've experienced. We were four in one room, charged $75 for two people plus P850 each for the other two, and still didn't get extra towels. When we complained, the manager said we couldn't expect much because the room was cheap and the extra guests paid less than P2,000. But Php 5,300 is not cheap. She also said it was New Year, they were short-staffed, and they had the right to refuse us. That could have been explained before check-in. If we'd known service would be like this, we'd have booked somewhere else. The rate is close to that of three-star hotels, but the service is the poorest. Breakfast arrived at 8:30 am, an hour and a half after we asked for it. The food wasn't what we ordered, and the coffee came two hours after we'd finished eating, despite several follow-ups. The hotel was poorly maintained, with lots of trash around and mosquitoes even in the lobby. Our room hadn't been cleaned when we checked in: the beds were untidy, the room was dirty and messy, and towels were on the floor, as if someone had just used it. There didn't seem to be hotel staff around. The manager got angry when we raised these issues. Instead of apologizing, she kept repeating that it was New Year, she had no staff, and the rate was cheap. She obviously needs proper training. I told her we'd share our experience in a review, and she said, 'WHO CARES!' This place doesn't seem to care about its guests, staff, or the hotel's image.

The service was awful. A soft drink took 30 minutes, the mashed potatoes were ice cold, and we'd finished two of our three meals before the last one finally arrived. Four hours later I was violently sick. I can't say the food caused it, since I hadn't eaten for six hours beforehand.

It was very peaceful, and there's something about the place that I liked. It feels like a snapshot of history left unchanged, with an old charm. Still, the property is falling apart and the prices are extremely high. The garden view rooms and sea view room are a joke: the garden looked like it was from the 1930s, and the ocean was only a tiny sliver about 10k away.

The view was awesome, and our family and kids enjoyed the food. I just wish the pool were kept a little better.

The hotel is old, which I don't mind, since it gives the place its own character. A great choice if you're after peace and nature.
