Olongapo Travel Lodge

The location is the main draw: SM Center is just a minute's walk away, making this good value in Olongapo City for short stays, errands, or stopovers. It's a no-frills place, but the basics were reliable: a private, air-conditioned room and hot shower. There's no pool, gym, or recreation facility, which is expected at this price. Our room had two double beds with a pillow for each. The blankets were thin compared with more upscale places, but comfortable enough for a night's sleep. Wi-Fi was fine for browsing and messaging, though not fast. Basic toiletries and complimentary drinking water were provided. If you like having hot drinks ready, bring your own thermos. Staff were consistently polite, approachable, and helpful. Parking is limited and first come, first served, so late arrivals may need to look nearby. The shower had hot water, though the pressure was moderate. The mid-sized cable TV wasn't a Smart TV, so we couldn't stream Hallyuwood movies or KDramas. With no windows, the room felt enclosed, and it helped to keep a phone or watch handy to track the time. The biggest issue was the noise. The window-type AC was noticeably loud, as older units tend to be. Worse, water dripped intermittently from an upper-floor unit onto the outside of ours, making a repetitive sound late at night. We found a simple way to dampen it, but the hotel should address it. This isn't a place for luxury or amenities, but it gives you clean, private rooms, dependable basics, a convenient location, and a reasonable price. For budget travelers who want convenience and independence, it's a solid option. With some attention to the AC noise, I'd consider staying again.

The room was surprisingly clean, especially the bathroom, and there's plenty of parking. The staff were very courteous. Good job 👏

We booked two nights for Subic Audax, and the stay was rough. There’s no elevator or security guard, and the shower area was dirty with no working shower set. We had to bathe using a bucket and pail. At checkout, check whether the remote is still in your room and take a photo. They seem to hide their own remotes and then charge guests for them. What am I supposed to do with a remote for their TV anyway? It wouldn’t work on my 65” smart TV. Roach motel, minus 5 out of 5.

We paid 1600 for one night, and the room was hot because the air conditioning wasn’t working right. The shower was out too, so I had to use a pail and tabo. It was my first time staying in a lodge where that was necessary. The receptionist wasn’t friendly, and there was no elevator or security guard.
